スマートキーが動かない

乗用車（フリード：型式GB6）のスマートキーの電池が残りわずかとなり電池の交換を推奨する警告が乗用車の警告板に出た。

The battery of the smart key of the passenger car (Freed: model GB6) is running low, and a warning recommending replacement of the battery appears on the warning board of the passenger car.

ボタン一つでなんでもできる便利な世の中だが、どうやってボタン電池（CR2032）を交換するんだろうか。

It’s a convenient world where you can do anything with the touch of a button, but how do you replace the button battery (CR2032)?

試行錯誤の上、スマートキーのボタン電池（CR2032）交換に着手する。こうしてみると便利なんだかよくわからない。

After trial and error, we will start replacing the smart key button battery (CR2032). I’m not sure if it’s convenient to do this.

会社では時代遅れの「恐竜」になるなと言われるが、最新のハイテクに頭が付いていかなくなりつつある。

The company is told not to be an outdated “dinosaur”, but the latest high tech is getting out of hand.

スマートキーのカバー開閉

傷をつけないように500円硬貨をティッシュで多い、画像箇所をひねる。

Twist the image part with a lot of 500 yen coins with tissue so as not to damage it.

隙間に差し込んで、500円硬貨をひねります。

Insert it into the gap and twist the 500-yen coin.

やっとカバーが外れた。知恵の輪の一環だと思い取り組む。

Finally the cover came off. Think of it as part of the circle of wisdom and work on it.

ボタン電池（CR2032）を指で外します。

Remove the button battery (CR2032) with your finger.

スターターも電池交換

ついでにエンジンスターター、予備キーもボタン電池交換（CR2032）を行う。

Also, replace the button battery (CR2032) for the engine starter and spare key.

スマートキーと同じく、500円硬貨をティッシュで覆い、蓋の隙間をひねる。

As with the smart key, cover the 500-yen coin with tissue and twist the gap in the lid.

隙間に500円硬貨を差し込んでひねるとカチッと蓋が外れる。

Insert a 500-yen coin into the gap and twist it to remove the lid.

エンジンスターターもボタン電池（ＣＲ２０３２）を使用している事を確認できました。隙間が狭く指では電池が外せません。

I was able to confirm that the engine starter also used a button battery (CR2032). The gap is narrow and you cannot remove the battery with your finger.

マイナスドライバーで慎重にボタン電池（CR2032）を外す。

Carefully remove the coin cell battery (CR2032) with a flat-blade screwdriver.

筆者の住む北国ではスマートキーが無いと、鍵穴が凍り付き自動車の鍵開けにも一苦労します。

In the northern country where I live, without a smart key, the keyhole freezes and it is difficult to unlock a car.

意外に電池交換は簡単で、半年ごとに定期的な電池交換をお勧めします。

Surprisingly, battery replacement is easy, and we recommend regular battery replacement every six months.
